Poetas del porvenir

¡Poetas del porvenir! ¡Oradores, cantantes, músicos del porvenir!
pero vosotros, nueva camada nativa, atlética, continental, más grande
que todo lo conocido hasta ahora.
¡Despertad! Os corresponde hacerme justicia.
Yo apenas he escrito una o dos palabras indicativas para el futuro.
Apenas avanzo un momento, ya me apresuro a retornar a la oscuridad.

Soy un hombre que, vagando a la ventura sin detenerse nunca mucho,
os dirige una mirada indiferente para volver luego la cara
y dejaros la prueba y la definición,
esperando de vosotros lo más importante.
