Title: Poetas del porvenir

Author(s): Walt Whitman, Pablo Mané

Date: 2000

Whitman Archive ID: med.00501

Source: "Poetas del porvenir." Hojas de Hierba. Tr. unknown (Madrid: Editorial ALBA, 2000), 20. Transcribed from a digital image of a print original. For a description of the editorial rationale behind our treatment of translations, see our statement of editorial policy.

Editorial note(s): This edition lists no editor or translator. However, the text is the same as Pablo Mané's, including the erroneous omission of Whitman's second line. Mané's translation is based on the final form of the poem as it appeared in Leaves of Grass. For more on Mané's translation, see Matt Cohen, Nicole Gray, and Rey Rocha, "'Poets to Come': An Introduction to the Spanish Translations."

Contributors to digital file: Rey Rocha, Vanessa Steinroetter, Janel Cayer, and Elizabeth Lorang

POETAS DEL PORVENIR

¡Poetas del porvenir! ¡Oradores, cantantes, músicos del
porvenir!
